In hadith the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) said that to interrupt someone is like slapping them in the face.

1. We all know that our prophet did not mean that our actions or words (that cause an interruption) come together to make a hand that slaps someone in the face. (Though it is funny to think of it that way.) What does his statement mean?

2. What kind of statement is "to interrupt someone is like slapping them in the face"? (allegory, allusion, etc.)

3. How many times during the past week have you interrupted someone? (teacher, substitute teacher, parents, friends, etc.) Take time to think and be honest now, remember Angels are watching.

4. List some ways you can keep from interrupting people.

5. There are times when you must interrupt someone, like when there is a fire or a baby is about to go into the street. List one other good reason one might have to interrupt someone. (Write on the back of this sheet.)

6. Be colorful and creative: Make a character poster for your room, or school reminding people of this hadith.
