Phases of the Project:
- Topic and media choice approval paper (page 7)
- Students decide what their topic, problem within the Muslim
community is
- This paper should due within one week of assignment
- Brainstorm the project in class (page 23)
- The topic chosen by each student is "brainstormed"
in the class following rules laid out on page 23
- Brainstorm ideas are recorded by student whose idea is being
examined.
- Student compares ideas from phase 1 and phase 2 and highlights
the most promising.
- Hands in both phase papers so that teacher may check to see
if evaluation has been done.
- Phase 1 and phase 2 papers should be handed back and filed before
getting to phase 3.
- These papers are only an update and should not carry a grade
as to content.
- Five Step Problem Solving (currently unassigned)
- Using the "Five Step" method student reviews his/her project.
- Since Steps 1 and 2 are already done, student should focus on
Steps 3 and 4.
- Steps 3 and 4 should be reported. These steps then handed in
as in Phase 2.
- Papers are only an update and should not carry a grade as to
content
- You may want to write in comments about the best solution
chosen and how the plan is to implement it. Is it well thought
out? Is it realistic?
- Comments must only be made in the form of suggestions, ultimately
the student chooses.
- Papers should be returned prior to Phase 4
- Draft of final project due. If a video project a script should
be submitted. If art a full descriptions should be submitted. Evaluate
as you would any creative writing draft.
- Final phase of Project 2 due. Evaluate for content, apparent
thought, problem identification, problem solving plan and implementation.
Also just as you would any creative writing, creative project.
