How are you
and Grandpa?
Mom, Dad, Tariq,
Batool and I are all fine, alhumdillillah.
Did you and
Grandpa go with Aunt Rose white water rafting on the Colorado
River last weekend? Insha'Allah it was fun! How many seniors from
the masjid went?
I'm glad you
two are so active and started the seniors club at your masjid.
What are your plans for next month?
The reason
I am writing is that the kids here at our masjid are bored. We'd
like to get the masjid board to build a gym so that we can play
volleyball and basketball in the winter. But we can't figure out
what to do to get the board to notice us and take us seriously.
You got the
seniors club going after a lot of opposition.
Yes, I know
that only one gym could be built and we'd need to take turns with
the boys (insha'Allah a separate gym could be built later). But
it's a start and I really want to play volleyball.
We'd also like
to have a five day a week afterschool club, like our next door
neighbors do at their synagogue.
Would you help
us figure out how to get this done?
