Step 1
Figure Out, Identify and Define the Problem
This step seems rather obvious. If you don't know what the problem
is how can you solve it. But is also means narrowing and focussing
on a problem. Sometimes people attempt to tackle a problem with out
really defining what the problem is. They end up with more than they
can handle or can reasonably do. So they give up or worse, let others
down.
.
- Find the most important parts of the problem
- Remain open-minded about the problem and its causes
- Be as specific as possible when thinking about the problem.
For example - instead of saying "I don't like school," be
specific about what you don't like. "I don't like the girls gossiping"
or "I don't like being left out of games."
- This first step is just for defining the problem, not for thinking
about solutions yet.

- Immediately assuming you know what the problem and solution are,
from the beginning.
- Going directly to trying to solve the problem before thinking about
it

your class or family apply Step 1 to the topic Khadijah wrote about.
Below write down the problem you've indentified.
